Today's announcement of a partnership to create the Critical Need Response Fund, and the generous gift from Mr. & Mrs Levine to get it started, is big news for our community. The uncertain economy and increased demand for services has created a lot of anxiety among service providers. It's good to see the community challenged to help provide a bit of extra relief during what's already turing into an unusally cold winter. If you haven't heard about this time-limited fund check out the Foundation for the Carolinas website at www.fftc.org for more information. As an agency executive director, I applaud all involved for stepping up to the plate (pardon my baseball metaphor duing football season)!
